Our client, a rapidly growing manufacturer of high-quality Medical Cannabis products, is hiring a Head of Content to take on a lead role in crafting a content strategy that will help build the company’s brand and engage their target audiences. This full-time position works closely with the Marketing, Brand, PR, and Digital teams, and will be instrumental to the company’s efforts to differentiate themselves and engage consumers.
- Create compelling original content ideas and strategies
- Write original content/stories
- Build and manage a network of contributors
- Review and edit content
- Coordinate with Sales/Marketing/Brand/PR about product launches, events, etc.
- Act as a passionate and professional representative of the brand and company
- An education and background in Journalism
- A history of pitching/creating interesting and unique storylines and perspectives
- Experience working with various types of publications (large small, general and focused audience, technical and non-technical, digital and print)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills both internally and externally
- Experience writing in the vein of health wellness is a plus
- Experience managing content creators and/or aggregating content a plus
- Experience professionally managing social media a plus
- Must be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
